Remember Guitar Hero? It's Back And This Time It's Putting You On A Real Stage

Remember Guitar Hero? It was the game that took over living rooms for almost five years while we rocked, failed to rock and generally pretended we were considerably better at riffing than some of the world's greatest musicians.

Well Guitar Hero is back, after a long hiatus the iconic game is making a return with Guitar Hero Live.

Guitar Hero Live isn't a sequel, it's a complete reimagining of the game's premise. Rather than placing you in a world of CGI and cartoon-like characters Guitar Hero Live is just that - you playing in front of a real human audience.

Using some rather impressive camera technology the developers have created a number of 'real world' arenas that'll cheer, boo and go mad dependent on how well you play.

If that wasn't enough pressure there's an actual band on stage with you as well, giving you the evil eye if you miss a chord or offering you the best bunk on the tour bus if you pull off a once-in-a-lifetime guitar solo.

The guitar has also been completely redesigned, it's now more 'grown up', while the brightly coloured buttons have been replaced with a simple black/white colour scheme.

Keeping the festival spirit in mind, this will be the first Guitar Hero that goes beyond the guitar with the line-up ranging from alternative to EDM.

Guitar Hero Live will launch in Autumn 2015 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 while Wii U and mobile versions will be announced later in the year.
