AeroMobil Flying Car Crashes During Test Flight

AeroMobil has experienced a major setback after one of its prototype flying cars crashed in Slovakia on Friday 8 May.

The revolutionary flying car was reportedly being flown by the company's co-founder Stefan Klein when witnesses reported the aircraft going into a tailspin and plummeting towards the ground.

Thankfully the aircraft's safety parachute deployed and Klein was left with only minor injuries. Sadly the same could not be said for the aircraft, which sustained major structural damage.

In a statement, the company said that it would be fully investigating what happened at that the crash would not impact it's development of the AeroMobil 3.0 aircraft.

The company recently confirmed that it was planning to launch the first customer-ready versions of the flying to car as soon as 2017, listing the only major hurdles as weight.

Of course weight isn't the only problem, the company will need to have their aircraft approved by each country it plans to sell in and will then of course have to convince actual paying customers that they need a flying car in their lives.
