Details of documents found in Osama Bin Laden's Abbottabad hideout have been declassified by the US government, but they're still hanging on tight to details of his stash of pornography.
Having revealed the deceased al Qaeda chief's reading list, which included "A Brief Guide to Understanding Islam" and "Guinness Book of World Records Children’s Edition 2008", the US military still seem unlikely to release the mythical "considerable stash" of porn videos uncovered after he was killed by Navy SEALs in 2011.
On Wednesday, the office of James Clapper, the US director of national intelligence, confirmed for the first time that the rumours of Bin Laden's collection were true, but he said the details would never be released.
Weird fetish?
"We are not going to release these materials due to the nature of their contents," Clapper’s spokesperson Jeffrey Anchukaitis told the Guardian.
Anchukaitis refused to specify the type of pornography found in Bin Laden's lair, although the collection has been described as "fairly extensive".
Declassified details of Bin Laden's bookshelf showed a particular interest in conspiracy theories, and he had a copy of a book claiming the US government carried out the 9/11 attacks.
Letters written by the terror mastermind were also uncovered, with some urging followers to ditch the idea of creating an Islamic State and instead focus on bombing embassies and American oil companies.
