Prince Leads Welsh Guards In Review

The Prince of Wales led the Welsh Guards as hundreds of soldiers, musicians and horses performed the Colonel's Review.

Celebrating 40 years as the Regimental Colonel of the Welsh Guards, Prince Charles watched on as the troops had their final opportunity to ensure they are ready for the Queen's birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, next weekend.

Hundreds of spectators took their seats to watch the spectacle as 1,100 soldiers, more than 350 musicians and almost 250 military horses put on a display at Horse Guards Parade in central London.

The Welsh Guards celebrate their centenary this year and, as Colonel, Charles is said to take a great interest, participating in numerous ceremonial events and regularly visiting the battalion.
