Chancellor George Osborne and his former counterpart Ed Balls are among those on the list for the Bilderberg conference today.
The annual event, being held in Telfs-Buchen, Austria, this year, is set to feature the usual array of senior figures from politics, business and finance.
Mr Osborne and Mr Balls will mix with other famous names including former MI6 chief Sir John Sawers, Dutch PM Mark Rutte, Google boss Eric Schmidt, and Nato secretary general Jens Stoltenberg.
Over four days they are due to discuss issues ranging from artificial intelligence and chemical weapons to the status of the United Kingdom and the US elections.
The outcome of the sessions will not be revealed, as meetings are not minuted to allow people to speak freely, and no one is allowed to reveal who said what.
