Chris Evans Confirms 'Top Gear' WILL Have Female Co-Presenter - Will It Be Jodie Kidd Or Suzi Perry?

Chris Evans Confirms Female 'Top Gear' Co-Host

Chris Evans has confirmed that the new ‘Top Gear’ presenting team will “100 per cent” include a female host.

On Tuesday, Chris was confirmed as the first new presenter to take the helm of ‘Top Gear’, following the sacking of Jeremy Clarkson earlier this year.

With Richard Hammond and James May both claiming that they wouldn’t be continuing to front the show without Jeremy, two spaces remain open on the presenting team, at least one of which will be filled by a woman.

When asked by Nicky Campbell whether a woman would be joining him on ‘Top Gear’, during an interview on BBC Radio 5 Live on Wednesday, the former ‘TFI Friday’ presenter responded: “Absolutely - but not for the sake of it.

“ I can confirm that definitely 100 percent.”

Jodie Kidd, a potential co-host for 'Top Gear'

Attention now turns to who the female presenter could be, with the most likely candidate being ‘The Classic Car Show’ presenter Jodie Kidd.

Jodie’s name has cropped up repeatedly during the speculation about who would be taking the reins of ‘Top Gear’, and she was seen having a drink with Jeremy earlier this year, fueling speculation that he had given her his blessing to take over.

Suzi Perry

Other female presenters to have been linked with the ‘Top Gear’ job include Formula 1 presenter Suzi Perry - who was spotted at the bar during the ‘TFI Friday’ special last week, and Sue Perkins, though she was quick to dispel the rumours almost as soon as they emerged.
