UK EuroMillions Winner Scoops £93m

A £93,388,943 EuroMillions jackpot prize has been paid out to a UK ticket-holder.

The winner, who scooped the entire jackpot in Friday night's draw, has opted to remain anonymous and no further details will be released, Camelot said.

The huge win ranks sixth on the National Lottery rich list and is the biggest win in the UK so far this year.

The ticket matched the five main numbers - 5, 8, 10, 11 and 37 - plus the two Lucky Star numbers - 7 and 9 - picked for last night's draw.

The top prize had not been won since May 26.

A National Lottery spokeswoman said: "This is the fourth EuroMillions jackpot win this year in the UK.

"The huge win ranks sixth biggest on the National Lottery rich list and the ticket-holder can now start to enjoy their life-changing prize.

"The nation has also won as National Lottery games like EuroMillions raise, on average, around £34 million every week for projects that make a real difference to communities across the UK."

Top of the list are Colin and Chris Weir from Largs, North Ayrshire, who banked £161 million in July 2011, making them the biggest lottery winners in Europe.

A year after the Weirs struck it lucky, Adrian and Gillian Bayford won £148,656,000. They separated in 2013.

In 2010, a winner who chose to remain anonymous collected £113 million.

Last year, Neil Trotter, a former car mechanic from south London, won £107,932,603.

In 2011, Dave and Angela Dawes from Cambridgeshire proved it was third time lucky when they won £101,203,600, having only played EuroMillions twice before.
