Speaking to Radio Times at the launch of their first perfume Gold Magic, Leigh-Anne Pinnock said: "Not just any film, it has to be like the Spice Girls movie and we actually act in it."

It certainly seems like the next logical step following all the girls’ success, with Jade adding: "When we first got put together on ‘The X Factor’, we made a list of what we wanted to achieve as a girl band.

"We wanted dolls, we wanted perfume, and four years later, it has finally happened."

Meanwhile, Perrie Edwards’ mother has spoken out in defence of her daughter, claiming the singer is not the reason her fiance Zayn Malik quit One Direction.

Fans of the boyband labelled Perrie ‘the Yoko Ono of 1D’ when Zayn left the group in March amid speculation about their relationship.

“They’ve always been happy. Zayn’s one of the nicest boys I’ve ever met and I couldn’t imagine Perrie with anyone else.

“I feel like he’s already my son, they’ve been together since she was on 'The X Factor' so he’s part of the family,” she added.
