Disco Kylie Has A Ball At Hyde Park

Kylie Minogue turned Hyde Park into one big disco as she belted out some of her most famous hits.

The pop princess, headlining the Sunday Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park gig, arrived on stage wearing a golden crown decorated with red roses and sparkles.

Performing beneath three giant disco balls, she was carried through the crowd on the shoulders of "two hunks" as the pulsing crowd sang along with I Should Be So Lucky and opened her set with Better The Devil You Know.

Minogue, 47, sang nearly 20 songs in the London park including Locomotion, All The Lovers and Can't Get You Out Of My Head.

The Australian star, flanked by dancers in dramatic costumes, at one point turned to the back of the stage and said: "Bring down that disco ball." Wearing her blonde hair in loose waves, she told the crowd: "Oh my goodness. You should see my view. You look incredible."

Minogue, who showcased four costumes including a red sparkly dress and gold jumpsuit, joked: "It's not your average Sunday night is it?" She also joked about the curfew and after saying it was in place so that the neighbours do not get "upset", she briefly sang the theme tune to the Aussie soap Neighbours that made her famous: "That's when good neighbours become good friends."

Before she sang Love at First Sight, Minogue said: "Do you believe in love? If I didn't before tonight I do now." She also said hello to her mother and father who were watching from the crowd.

Finishing her 90 minute set, she said: "I've had an absolute blast of a night."

Grace Jones, who was among the acts supporting Minogue, performed her set topless, wearing white body paint and eye-catching head dresses.
