'Top Gear': Suzi Perry Reveals She's Had 'Conversations' To Join BBC Series, But Admits: 'We Don't Know What's Going To Happen'

Suzi Perry has opened up about her potential future on the ‘Top Gear’ presenting team.

The Formula One presenter has been linked with a possible spot on the BBC motoring show when it returns for a new series next year, and has now admitted that there have been talks about her joining.

Speaking on Wednesday’s ‘This Morning’, Suzi told Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden: “You know what it's like when you work for a channel and you have conversations… but we don’t know what’s going to happen with that show.

“So until, as a broadcaster, you know what’s going to happen with the show, I don’t think you can really think very seriously about it.”

When quizzed about whether she was being considered for the presenting gig, she confessed: “I believe so... But I’m away twenty weeks a year doing Formula 1, so unless someone has invented 48 hours in a day - which may be you have actually... it would be pretty tough, I think, for me to do it.”

Following Jeremy Clarkson’s departure from the show, Chris Evans has been named as his replacement.

He has since expressed his enthusiasm to have a woman presenting alongside him on his new team, but also revealed that ‘Top Gear’ will be hosting open auditions, to find new recruits to join him on the show.

Jodie Kidd and Clare Balding are also among the female presenters to have been linked to a ‘Top Gear’ presenting role.
