Ren Lu You, from Birmingham, Alabama, is offering to pay $10,000 (£6,500) to anyone who introduces him to a girl he ends up dating for more than six months.
"I moved to Birmingham last year for a job after finishing grad school. Having spent the last 12 months going on a lot of (some interesting, some dull, and a few utterly bizarre) dates, I decided to try something new," he writes on his website DateRen.com.
The 29-year-old sees his proposition as a win win situation, as he'll save "a ton of time on finding romantic prospects and going on bad dates" and members of the public will "make a bunch of money for something you might have done for a friend".
Cash-strapped ladies cannot put themselves forward to claim the money (and the man), Ren is only accepting applications from third parties.
