Taylor Swift Apologises To Nicki Minaj, After Accusing 'Anaconda' Singer Of 'Pitting Women Against Each Other'

Taylor Swift Delivers A Much-Needed Apology

After almost 48 hours of silence, Taylor Swift has taken to Twitter to apologise to Nicki Minaj.

The ‘Bad Blood’ singer started one of the most well-documented Twitter spats in pop culture history on Tuesday night, when she accused Nicki of “pitting women against each other”.

Taylor’s comments were in retaliation to a series of tweets from Nicki, that she wrongly believed to be about her, and the ‘1989’ creator has now admitted to misunderstanding the situation, tweeting:

Within the hour, Nicki graciously accepted Taylor's apology, replying:

She also sent a tweet to Katy Perry, who voiced her support for Nicki after the initial row (more on that later):

Tweeting after the MTV VMAs nominations announcement, Nicki wrote:

Assuming that Minaj's tweets were aimed at her, Swift replied to Minaj saying "I've done nothing but love and support you."

Taylor then chose not to respond to Nicki’s direct reply:

Things then stepped up a notch when Katy Perry, who is believed to be the frenemy who inspired Tay’s ‘Bad Blood’, weighed in on the situation with a not-so-subtle subtweet:

Now, the only remaining question is will Taylor also reply to Katy Perry? Watch this space. *grabs popcorn*
