A commemorative ride has been proposed by cycling club colleagues of a retired solicitor who was stabbed to death.
Members of the Worthing Excelsior Cycling Club in West Sussex may also rename their annual 25-mile time trial race the Don Lock Memorial Open 25.
Mr Lock, 79, was knifed to death following a crash on the A24 in Findon, near Worthing, as he was on his way back from a club gathering on July 16.
The great-grandfather, who had just been given the all-clear from prostate cancer and had recently celebrated his 55th wedding anniversary to wife Maureen, died at the scene.
Cycling club secretary Adrian Palmer said both proposals to honour Mr Lock - who cycled up to 150 miles a week - were subject to committee approval.
Matthew Daley, 34, of St Elmo Road, Worthing, has been charged with murder and possessing a knife in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody at HMP Lewes and will appear at Hove Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on September 25.
