:: 11.2 billion - people likely to be living on the Earth by the year 2100, according to the United Nations. The current global population is 7.5 billion. If the forecast is correct, it will mean the population of the world will have grown by 84% this century.
:: £700,000 - estimated daily cost to haulage companies of Operation Stack. Kent Police expect sections of the M20 to remain closed throughout this weekend.
:: 7% - fall in audience numbers for ITV over the past five years. Audiences for the main ITV channel have dropped even faster, by 14%. The equivalent figure for BBC1 has gone up 4% over the same period.
:: 65 - average number of months that people in the UK remain in a job. The figure has risen steadily since 2002, when it was 51 months.
:: 433 - hot air balloons that took off simultaneously in eastern France this week, setting a new world record.
:: 55% - proportion of judges in England and Wales under the age of 40 who are female.
:: 93mm - average total rainfall in the UK for July, up to Sunday 26. The highest total for any July is 146mm in 2009. The Met Office is not forecasting the final total for July 2015 to set a new record.
