Kermit And Miss Piggy Split: 'The Muppets' Couple Announce Their 40-Year Relationship Is Over

This Is One Celebrity Split We Seriously Can't Deal With

Miss Piggy has announced that she and Kermit The Frog have gone their separate ways, after over four decades together.

We were gutted when Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale split, and we just about held it together when Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik called off their engagement, but this is one celebrity break-up we’re not sure we can handle.

The ‘Muppets’ diva posted a statement on her Facebook page on Tuesday (4 August), announcing that she had made the difficult decision to end their “romantic relationship”.

She wrote: “After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Kermit the Frog and moi have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship.”

Luckily, they’ll be channeling ABBA, No Doubt and Fleetwood Mac and continuing to work together in their professional lives, despite the fact their relationship has now ended.

Miss Piggy went on to say: “We will continue to work together on television… and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe.

“However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al.”
