Man Who Went Missing 11 Months Ago 'Spotted' In Chelsea Match Selfie

A mother whose son went missing 11 months ago believes she may have spotted him in a crowd of Chelsea football fans.

The 31-year-old failed to turn up at the restaurant he was working at the next day. All of his belongings, including his passport and phone were left in his apartment.

Anyone who is a Chelsea fan or is friends with one (especially if they go to watch them) can you please share this...

Lesley Edwards believes the circled man may be her missing son Jon Anderson Edwards

Now his mother Lesley believes there could be a breakthrough in the case after catching a glimpse of a man she has described as “identical to my missing son” in a photo selfie taken at Stamford Bridge.

She posted the image to Facebook on Thursday, asking: “Anyone who is a Chelsea fan or friends with one (especially if they go to watch them) can you please share this photo? The man circled was at the Chelsea game a few days ago and is identical to my missing son.

“If it is not him and you know who this is, can you please contact me. Thank you.”

Jon Anderson Edwards went missing after hitting his head in Lagos, Portugal, in September

She told Mirror Online: “We’ve been searching for him for almost a year now and we’ve had so many wrong sightings and different twists and turns but I saw that picture last night and said: ‘God that looks like John.’

“My heart skipped a beat and I was up half the night. Even if we can find the information to discount it at least we can move on but if it’s not him it’s his absolute double.”

The picture is believed to have been taken at the pre-season friendly against Fiorentina on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said anyone with information regarding the picture or the search should contact them on 101.
