A 17-year-old boy has died of head injuries after a fight in south London.
Detectives have launched a murder investigation into the teenager's death, Scotland Yard said.
Officers were called to Flaxman Road near Loughborough Junction at 8.50pm to reports a fight had broken out.
They found the boy lying in the road and uniformed officers and paramedics battled to save his life.
But the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Scotland Yard said his next of kin have been informed but they are awaiting formal identification.
A post-mortem examination is due to be held at Greenwich Mortuary.
