Janette Manrara has opened up about getting engaged to fellow ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional, Aljaž Skorjanec.

The couple announced that they were tying the knot last week, uploading a photo on Twitter of them celebrating their engagement.
In a new interview with OK! magazine, Aljaž opens up about the moment that he popped the question to Janette, in the same dance studio where they first met, five years ago.

“I'd actually bought a ring two weeks beforehand and had been waiting for the right time.”
Speaking about the emotional moment, Janette adds: “I was about to start crying and then I thought, 'what if he's just tying his shoes?”
Aljaž admits that he also cried tears of joy when his wife-to-be said “yes”, but insists: “It was a very manly cry. It's such a beautiful moment so you can't really help it.”
It’s an exciting time for the couple - as well as celebrating their engagement, they’re also gearing up to appear on the upcoming 13th series of ‘Strictly’.
So far, six celebrities have been confirmed to be taking place, with weather presenter Carol Kirkwood being announced during Tuesday morning’s ‘BBC Breakfast’.
