‘Cold Feet' To Return? ITV ‘In Talks' With Original Cast For New Series

Is 'Cold Feet' About To Save Our Sunday Nights?

Cold Feet’ is set to return to our screens, ten years after its final episode aired, according to reports.

The original cast of the comedy drama, including James Nesbitt, John Thomson and Hermione Morris are all understood to be in talks about reprising their roles.

ITV bosses are hoping the show, which originally ran between 1998 and 2003, will fill the Sunday evening scheduling void that will be left when ‘Downton Abbey’ ends this year.

A source close to one of the actors involved told the Mirror: "It is all looking very positive for a Cold Feet comeback.

"But at this point it is still in the planning stage and there is a long way to go."

‘Cold Feet’, which followed the ups and downs of the relationships of three couples, regularly pulled in eight million viewers and was broadcast in 34 countries.

Since the last episode aired, many of the cast have gone on to have huge success elsewhere.

James Nesbitt has starred in Steven Moffat's ‘Jekyll’ and more recently in the whodunnit drama ‘The Missing’, whilst Hermione Norris went on to star in ITV's ‘Kingdom’ and the BBC drama ‘In The Club’.

.

Helen Baxendale, who went on to star in ‘Friends’, definitely won’t be returning as her character, Rachel, was killed off in a lorry crash in a major plot twist during the last series.

An ITV spokesman said: "This is speculation. There is always so much interest in a Cold Feet reunion."

If it does go ahead, the show isn’t expected to be back on our screens until autumn next year.
