Skegness Beach 'Dog Bite Attack' Prompts Lincolnshire Police To Release Photo Of Woman

Have You Seen This Woman? Police Release Photo After 'Dog Attack'

Police have released a photo of a woman they want to trace after a dog allegedly bit a four-year-old.

Police released this photo after the dog attack

The girl was bitten a number of times by a "Jack Russell type dog", Lincolnshire Police said, on the beach at Skegness at around 1.45pm on Saturday. The child required medical treatment as a result.

The dog had allegedly been sitting under the owner's chair on the beach off Grand Parade and was not on a lead. The owner refused to give her details to the parents of the child.

Police said they were treating the incident as an offence of having a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.

They issued a photo saying the woman "may be able to assist with the enquiry".

A force spokesperson said: "Police are taking this opportunity to remind dog owners that dogs must be kept on a lead on the beach and that it is the owner's responsibility to ensure that their pets are kept under control at all times."

Anyone who knows the identity of the woman in the photo can contact PC Nick Elmer at Skegness Police Station by calling 101.
