Syria In Numbers: Why Cameron's Offer Barely Scratches The Surface

As David Cameron announces Britain will offer resettlement to thousands more Syrian refugees, the sheer scale of the migration crisis continues to dwarf the international response.

While the Prime Minister says Britain "will do more" by "providing resettlement for thousands more Syrian refugees," reports from rights organisations show that the number of places being offered amounts to just a fraction of what is needed.

And shockingly, the crisis has forced just under half of all Syrians to flee their homes since civil war broke out in 2011.
