The 27-year-old model shared her happy news with her followers on Twitter on 11 September.
Cole wrote: "Delighted to say we had a little girl!" She also shared a photo of her newborn's tiny hand grabbing her hair.
Releasing more information on her blog, LilyCole.com, the model confirmed her daughter's name: Wylde Cole Ferreira.
The news was also confirmed on Cole's social giving network website, Impossible.
A message on the website stated: "Lily and Kwame have just announced that they have had their Impossible baby: a lovely little girl called Wylde who has been bringing joy, humour, sounds, love (and various liquids) to them all summer."
Cole met Kwame in 2012 when she was in the process of developing her website Impossible.
The couple announced they were expecting a baby in March, using the website to share the news.
Cole wrote: "I met Kwame when I was in the process of developing Impossible and he offered the most profound gift, to help build the platform.
"After working together for a long time Kwame and I fell in love, and I am very happy to share our news that we are expecting our first child together."
