Subway Serve Up Dead Mouse Sandwich To Unlucky Customer

Man Finds Dead Mouse In His Subway Sandwich

If you go into Subway and ask for some extra protein, you probably wouldn't expect to be served a dead mouse.

Jay Armstead had ordered his lunch, when he discovered the dead rodent wrapped up in his spinach.

Thankfully, he noticed it before he'd taken a bite...

A man has found a dead mouse in his Subway sandwich

The unlucky recipient ordered an Italian sub at the store located in Lincoln City, Oregon. It was all going well until the worker added a handful of baby spinach, accompanied with a dead mouse.

"It was unfortunate I was the lucky recipient," Armstead told local news team KGW. "It was wet and dead. His tail was curled up and you could see his two front teeth."

Matt Jones saw the dead creature in his friend's sandwich and immediately uploaded a picture to Facebook.

He commented: “It’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen, but it’s also the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen,

“I laughed because I was like, there is no way this just happened.”

After the incident Subway released a statement to a local news team which read: "As soon as the customer alerted the owner about what happened, they were immediately given a full refund and an investigation was launched.

"To be cautious, all of the products in the sandwich unit were disposed of and a thorough cleaning took place, in which the Health Department gave the restaurant a clean bill of health. There were no other complaints made."
