A man has appeared in court accused of the attempted murder of a police officer who was shot during an undercover operation.
Tyrone Henry, 31, of Phoenix Close, in Hackney, east London, is also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during the brief hearing at Thames Magistrates' Court in Bow, east London.

The Metropolitan Police detective has been in a stable condition after being shot in the shoulder in Hackney on Thursday afternoon.
District Judge Mary Connolly told Henry that he will next appear in custody at Wood Green Crown Court on October 29.
