Interior Design Instagram Accounts That Will Have You Dreaming All Day

Interior Design Experts To Follow On Instagram

Interior design is right up there with food, fashion and holidays when it comes to our favourite daydream fodder – and it’s all thanks to Instagram.

Here are a few of the interiors-based accounts we're currently obsessing over (not suitable if you want to get any work done today):

@annaspiro: Australian based interior designer Anna Spiro mixes eclectic vintage pieces with a riot of clashing colours and prints. The results are surprisingly balanced and serene. If you love textile prints, prepare to be inspired.

@jerseyicecreamco: Plaster walls in muted pastel tones, raw wood fixtures, tactile fabrics... Interior design duo Tara Mangini and Percy Bright strip back the layers of a space to expose its natural charm. This is the closest you’ll get to going on a rural retreat in your lunch hour.

@abigailahern: Crowned the “high priestess of interiors” by Living etc., Abigail Ahern eschews the modern preoccupation with minimalism and muted colours in favour of dark, rich tones and opulent furnishings. And the best part? You can ‘shop’ her Instagram snaps online.

@nickeykehoe: A stunning showcase of their retail shop wares (handpicked from around the world), browsing the feed of L.A. design duo Todd Nickey and Amy Kehoe is like being transported to a vintage market where you'll only find the good stuff.

@rockettstgeorge: One half of the female duo behind online interiors emporium Rockett St George, Jane Rockett gives us the occasional peek into her own home as well as sharing her daily inspiration – and it never fails to disappoint. Case in point: these floor lamps on the ceiling.

@amberinteriors: The rooms dominating Amber Lewis’s feed have a stripped-back bohemian feel with a distinctively South-American flavour. Think richly patterned woven textiles against a backdrop of natural wood and white, finished off with a touch of foliage. Throw in the occasional puppy and cute child and you will soon be in love with this LA-based designer’s life.

@loafhome: Who doesn’t want to buy into Loaf’s laidback lifestyle? The calming colours, the tactile textiles – these pictures really do make you want to spend the day loafing at home.

@hogarinteriores: Clean lines and eye-popping colour are the signature of this Portugese interior design company who specialise in modern with a mid-century twist.

@jonathanadler: New-York based ceramic and homeware designer Jonathan Adler is famed for his opulent designs. Mid-century furniture adorned with jewel colours and gold: think Don and Megan Draper’s Manhattan pad with a sprinkling of Versace – and dare we say Liberace?

@ilemartini: Ilenia Martini’s pictures are almost as cool as her name. The photographer and art director is Italian born, Brooklyn based and living in Berlin. But it’s the latter that shines through in her Instagram feed: lots of clean lines and a white on white palette.
