David Cameron attended a state banquet at Buckingham Palace with the Queen on Tuesday evening to mark the visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping.
The prime minister was joined by several dignitaries including Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and other senior political and government figures.
The high profile visit is a chance for the British government to deepen ties with Beijing. Naturally the Foreign Office has a presence at the dinner.
Cameron appeared pleased with how the evening was progressing as he decided to greet foreign minister Hugo Swire with a cheeky smack on the bum.
