The first ever InStyle Awards took place in California last night, and the fashion action was every bit as exciting as we expected.
Supermodels, actresses and pop stars descended onto the red carpet at the Getty Center, Los Angeles, and stunning monochrome looks seemed to be the order of the evening.
Gwyneth Paltrow, who was honoured with the Style Icon award, lived up to her title in a classic bejeweled gown, but Kim Kardashian stole the show (as usual) in a dramatic Valentino cape dress.
But it wasn't all floor-length numbers - Selena Gomez mixed things up in a fun Louis Vuitton two-piece, while Dakota Johnson schooled us in the art of power dressing in a chic black suit.
