‘X Factor' Ratings Improve Slightly After Hitting New Series Low, As ‘Strictly Come Dancing' Goes From Strength To Strength

Simon's 'X Factor' Loses ANOTHER Ratings Battle

It was another rough weekend for ‘X Factor’ bosses, as the show’s ratings hit a series low on Saturday night, though things did improve *slightly* on Sunday.

Sunday’s results show, which included a performance from Little Mix, attracted an average of 6.47 million, which isn’t exactly impressive, but still notably higher than the 5.4 million who tuned in to Saturday’s show, according to Barb figures.

Meanwhile, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has continued to go from strength to strength and almost 10 million viewers tuned to in to see the Halloween special on Saturday night, with just as many (9.35 million) watching as Kirsty Gallacher became the latest star to leave the competition.

The latest ratings are yet another blow for ‘X Factor’ bosses, who have lost out to ‘Strictly’ every weekend, since each of the shows kicked off earlier this year.

This year’s series has been blighted with problems, and plans for a fifth judge were recently scrapped, just weeks after logistical problems put an end to the live judges’ houses’ round plans.

ITV bosses will be hoping things improve next week though, and quite frankly, if a Fleur East performance can’t convince more people to tune in, then we don’t know what will.
