Nadiya Hussain has proved there’s life after ‘Great British Bake Off’, by landing a new job with The Times Magazine.

Earlier this year, millions of Brits tuned in week after week to see Nadiya wowing judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry, eventually being crowned this year’s winner, over Tamal Ray and Ian Cumming.
Following her victory on the show, and the outpouring of support for Nadiya from the British public, The Times announced on Friday (13 November) that Nadiya had landed a role as the weekly cook in their magazine.

Readers will be able to read her baking recipes in the magazine every week, beginning this Saturday.
All of Nadiya’s success is particularly impressive, given that she recently admitted she almost didn’t go through with her appearance on ‘Bake Off’.
She admitted last month she was worried that she’d struggle being separated from her husband and children for such a long time during filming, claiming: “I did wonder if I was work-ready after ten years at home. When I was called for the final 12 I nearly rang to say I couldn’t do it.”
But Nadiya isn’t the only contestant from this year’s ‘Bake Off’ to have enjoyed success since leaving the show.
Flora Shedden may have only finished in fourth place, but it was recently reported that she had decided not to pursue her degree in art history, after accepting a book deal to release her own collection of recipes.
