We’re only one day into the new series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, but it sounds as though producers are already in for a bit of a nightmare, thanks to some rather adverse weather conditions.

New reports have claimed that stormy weather Down Under has been “causing havoc” behind the scenes of the reality series, with a massive power cut reportedly making things extremely stressful for the show’s editors.
A source tells The Mirror: “The bad weather knocked out the edit and made life very difficult for the contestants. They have only just got into the jungle and things are already very tough.

The newspaper have even gone as far as suggesting that a full-on evacuation of the camp could be imminent, due to high-speed winds of up to 80mph.
‘I’m A Celebrity’ executive producer Tom Gould has admitted the adverse weather has been “scary” for the crew, adding: “Trying to film when there is no break in the weather at all, can be really tough.
“When it’s wet all the time the celebrities spend a lot of time around the campfire. It gets cold and uncomfortable.”
Tom added that the contestants could be evacuated from camp if the extreme weather persists.
“There are contingency plans. There’s potentially more rain, but we’re hoping for a little respite,” he said.
Earlier in the series, strikes at Australian airports threatened to throw plans for the celebrities’ arrivals Down Under into jeopardy, ahead of this weekend’s launch.
It has now been confirmed that three new celebrities will be joining the series later this week, with reality TV trio Ferne McCann, Spencer Matthews and Vicky Pattison joining the likes of George Shelley, Jorgie Porter and Lady Colin Campbell in the ‘I’m A Celeb’ camp.
