Samsung Is Making An Android Flip Phone And No-One Has A Clue Why

Samsung's Making A Flip Phone Because Apparently It's The 00's

Samsung apparently didn't get the memo that flip phones aren't a 'thing' anymore as leaked pictures have shown that the company is working on a premium Android smartphone with the iconic flip design.

Sammobile reports that the SM-W2016 (great name), will sport a design that mimics the Samsung Galaxy S6, which ironically happens to also be the company's most advanced smartphone.

If a flip phone is something you've been craving then panic not, because Samsung's holding nothing back with its foray into the past.

While the glorious physical keypad is there, Samsung's making sure that the SM-W2016 will be an antique in looks only. The phone opens up to reveal a 3.9-inch Super AMOLED display, which incidentally it has on the outside as well.

The hardware specs are equally as impressive sporting a ludicrously powerful 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB RAM and a massive 64GB internal storage.

We do have some bad news, this is no Motorola RAZR. So while it's powerful it's not the slimmest phone on the market. The RAZR comes in at a chunky 15mm thick and weighs 204g.
