Emma Watson On Why Fashion Is A Feminist Issue

Emma Watson's HeForShe speech may have been one year ago, but the actress and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador is still fighting for the feminist cause every day.

Speaking to Porter magazine after being named on their 100 Incredible Women list, Watson reveals why she is only just feeling comfortable in her own skin and the reason behind it is pretty awesome.

The 25-year-old admitted that her new-found self-acceptance has a lot to do with a recent style revelation - wearing clothes that make her feel good, instead of thinking about how she looks.

"When I was younger I remember being told ‘no pain no gain’, but recently my willingness to wear something that makes me freezing cold or that I can’t walk in has changed," she said.

"I want to feel fabulous and comfortable and sexy and strong and beautiful. And if it’s making you uncomfortable, don’t do it.

"It’s so sad if you need to go home just because you need to sit down! Moving forward, I’m prioritising just feeling awesome."
