Peter Andre has bounced back from his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ elimination, with a role in the forthcoming David Brent film.

Ricky Gervais’ comic creation, first seen in the mockumentary series ‘The Office’, is to hit the big screen in 2016, in a spoof tour diary titled ‘Life On The Road’.
And while Ricky’s comedy series have always incorporated celebrity cameos from stars who are, well, slightly below the A-list (with past examples including Les Dennis, Keith Chegwin and, of course, “Barry from ‘EastEnders’”), it seems this time around he’s snagged Peter.

The ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer revealed the news with a post on his Instagram page, sharing a photo where he posed next to Ricky, who was sporting David Brent’s trademark goatee beard.
He wrote: “Great first day back post strictly. P.s thanks to everybody for their awesome support [sic]”
An insider tells The Mirror: “Peter loved ‘Strictly’ but it has been a lot of pressure and it has taken it’s toll. He is relieved that it has come to an end. Having a part in Ricky Gervais' new film has come at the perfect time.
“It’s his first part in a film. And while he will be playing himself and it’s only a small cameo part, it’s given him a chance to have a go at acting.”
Over the weekend, Peter became the latest celebrity to be booted off ‘Strictly’, following a dance-off against Kellie Bright.
It came at the end of a difficult week, where he was forced to speak out against a suggestion by former contestant Jamelia that the show was being edited unfairly in his favour.
