Jimmy Kimmel Slams Donald Trump For Muslim Remarks, Calls Him 'Un-American' And A 'Loser'

Jimmy Kimmel Calls Out 'Loser' Donald Trump Live On Air

Jimmy Kimmel has accused Donald Trump of being “un-American” during a lively episode of his live television show.

Kimmel introduced the billionaire to the programme, stating “Our children will know him as the president who blew up the moon for being a loser.”

He then called out the Republican presidential hopeful for his calls for Muslims to be banned from entering the US, and was finally given his chance to grill the billionaire following the controversial statement.

"But isn't it un-American and wrong to discriminate against people based on their religion?" Kimmel said in a put-down tone towards Trump. And instead of answering "Yes," Trump defended his xenophobia.

Jimmy Kimmel called out Donald Trump for his comments on Muslims

Trump insisted the ban on Muslims would be temporary, telling Kimmel he has “many, many” Muslim friends.

“Some of them, not all of them - I will tell you some of them aren’t so thrilled with what I said, many of them called me and they said, ‘You know Donald, you’re right. We have a problem. There is a problem."

Initially Kimmel’s line of questioning was light-hearted, but it became more serious in the second half of the interview when he raised Trump's proposals for banning all Muslims from entering the US.

Trump - although on the defensive - was unusually agreeable during his appearance on Wednesday’s show, laughing along at Kimmel’s jabs at his increasingly contentious proposals and comments.

The Republican front-runner has been facing harsh criticism since his remarks on the people of faith. David Cameron, Nigel Farage and Hillary Clinton have all condemned his words.
