Robotics company Boston Dynamics would like to wish you a Merry Christmas, but only if you've been good.
The Google-owned company has revealed a Christmas themed video asks you to look at the world in two very different ways. By utilising their state-of-the-art Spot robots this is either a wonderful showcase of the future or a terrifying glimpse into a dystopian world.

On the one hand you have visual proof that robots are now walking in a fashion that vaguely resembles our own lovable pets, on the other, Boston Dynamics might have used three of the little critters but look closely and you'll see that they only need one to pull that sled.
That's right, just one of those little guys is capable of pulling a fully grown human being on a sled. Give that to a sentient AI, or something only slightly thicker and you're looking at a recipe for a festive apocalypse.
Either way, our recommendation is put the mulled wine on, stick a stocking over your head and just wait for everything to blow over.
