We’re not afraid to admit that we’ve shed a tear or two watching television this year, and soapland has been responsible for many of our weepiest moments.
‘Coronation Street’ aired emotional scenes this summer, as we said goodbye to Deirdre Barlow, following actress Anne Kirkbride’s death, but in Walford, the Dales and the ‘Hollyoaks’ village there were plenty of other emotional scenes.

Many of Rakhee Thakrar’s ‘EastEnders’ scenes have been tough to watch, and we also bid farewell to Stan Carter earlier this year.
