Police Offer £1,000 Reward In Missing Person Inquiry

Police in Lincolnshire have taken an "unusual step" in offering a £1,000 reward for information about a missing person.

Kelly Buckingham, from Holton le Clay, near Grimsby, was reported missing by friends in November and officers say they are concerned for her welfare.

Lincolnshire Police said there is evidence Ms Buckingham may have been assaulted around the time she was last seen.

But they said her friends may not trust police as she is wanted for failing to appear in court in August.

Police are offering £1,000 to anyone who helps the force directly locate Ms Buckingham, who turned 37 on Boxing Day.

Detective Inspector Richard Myszczyszyn said: "Kelly’s friends and acquaintances may be distrustful of police and not believe us now when we say that she is being treated as a missing person.

"I would like to assure them that our concern for Kelly is genuine and our efforts to find her are very much driven by our fear that something has happened to her."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
