Sony have broken their silence on the legal dispute between themselves, Kesha and Dr Luke, claiming that they can’t end her contract.
The record company are under increasing pressure from Kesha’s many fans and famous supporters, who are calling for them to the free her following last week’s court case, which saw a judge rule in Sony’s favour.

Now, in a statement given to the New York Times, a company lawyer has stated they are "not in a position to terminate the contractual relationship between Luke and Kesha".
"Sony has made it possible for Kesha to record without any connection, involvement or interaction with Luke whatsoever," they added.
Kesha’s legal fight to be removed from her contract with Dr Luke and his label Kemosabe, a subsidiary of Sony, went to the New York Supreme Court last week.
Kesha previously filed a lawsuit against Dr Luke, claiming that he had sexually abused her and caused serious emotional distress, a claim vehemently denied, lodging his own lawsuit against her.
Nevertheless, a number of other stars spoke out in support of Kesha following the latest court ruling, which means she has to make four more albums with Sony.
Adele even mentioned the ‘Tik Tok’ singer in one of her Brit Award acceptance speeches on Wednesday (24 February) night.
Meanwhile, after declaring that the case should be heard in court and not online, Dr Luke posted his own thoughts on Twitter, sending over 20 tweets on the matter.
