Liam Payne’s ex-girlfriend has spoken out about his rumoured relationship with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, branding their romance “weird”.

Sophia Smith, who split from Liam last November, seemingly confirmed persisting reports that the One Direction star and ‘X Factor’ judge are dating, revealing that she’d known about their relationship for a while.

“It’s SO weird,” Sophia told Now magazine.
“I knew about them a little bit ago, but who thought it would actually come out? I didn’t.”
However, she admitted she was fine about seeing her ex moving on so quickly after their split, adding: “Yeah... I’m okay. I’m all good.”
While neither Cheryl or Liam have verbally confirmed reports about their relationship, they have kept fans on tenterhooks with with a series of cosy pictures together.

The ‘Fight For This Love’ singer recently urged fans not to jump to conclusions, amid the ongoing speculation.
She tweeted: “Number 1 Tip..! Always collect ALL your information and facts before forming an opinion !”
Some fans have since claimed they believe Cheryl and Liam are working on a L’Oréal campaign together, rather than actually being in a relationship.
Sources have previously said the pair have been dating since December, after bonding at the ‘X Factor’ final, where One Direction performed for the final time before their hiatus.
