Google To Rebrand As 'SkyNet'

Following the rousing success of their Deep Mind artificial intelligence program which was recently able to beat a human at the hardest game on Earth, Google has announced plans to ditch their long-standing name in favour of a new, sleeker branding which represents their future.

"Search engines are so 2006," Google CEO Sarah Surname said. "That's why we're looking to the future. Artificial intelligence. Robotic cars. We want a name that reflects our bright, internet centric future. That's why Google Inc. will now be known as SkyNet."

Company officials also unveiled new plans for mobile robotic "helpers" who will patrol major cities ensuring everyone is signed up to Google Plus.

SkyNet also announced plans to begin storing all information from mobile phones, searches and any other possible aspect in order to maintain the safety of humanity.
