Ronnie Corbett's widow Anne has suffered a health scare, ahead of today's funeral service for the beloved comedian.
Anne was taken to a hospital near the couple's Croydon home, where she spent a couple of days having tests.
A family friend tells the Daily Mail that the tests were a precaution for the 83-year-old former musical star, that Anne is now recovering back at home, and fortunately she will be able to attend Ronnie's service today.
This will no doubt be a relief for Anne, who was forced to miss her husband receiving his CBE at Buckingham Palace in 2012, because she was suffering with pneumonia.
The send-off for the beloved comedian - who died a fortnight ago after suffering with motor neurone disease - will include a church service, a private cremation, followed by a wake at Ronnie's local golf club.
This follows reports at the weekend that one of Ronnie's closest friends, Sir Bruce Forsyth, would have to miss the service.
The veteran entertainer is still recovering from surgery following in fall in autumn last year. He is being tended to by his wife Wilnelia at their home in Wentworth, Surrey.
At the time of Ronnie's death, Sir Bruce was one of the first to pay tribute to his pal and golfing companion, calling it "one of the worst days of my life".
