A major blaze has broken out at a fireworks factory, causing explosions and fireworks to be set off.
Witnesses described explosives lighting up the sky and loud bangs following the fire at the property in Bitterne Road West, Southampton.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service posted on Twitter: "Currently dealing with large #fire in firework factory in #Bitterne, 10 fire engines on scene".
The A3024 Bitterne Road West has been closed in both directions while firefighters deal with the blaze.
South Coast Ambulance Service posted: "Supporting @Hants_fire at major fire at fireworks factory, Bitterne Road West, Southampton Pls avoid area".
Chris Nichols posted: "Woken up by big bang. Fire on Bitterne Road West, which appears to have hit the firework factory."
Lenny posted: "Woke up to fireworks this morning and thinking who the hell sets them off at 6 in the morning. Turns out the firework factory is on fire!"
