Is Rylan Clark-Neal Being Lined Up To Co-Host ‘Xtra Factor’ With Laura Whitmore?

He's getting about.

Rylan Clark-Neal might not have won the ‘X Factor’ but he could be about to have the last laugh by being signed up to front its sister show, ‘Xtra Factor’.

The 27-year-old, who came ninth on the ITV singing competition in 2012, is rumoured to be at the top of the wish list of the show’s bosses after impressing them with his presenting skills on ‘Big Brother’s Bit On The Side’ and ‘This Morning’.

"Bosses really want to sign Rylan," a source told Now magazine. "He's a seasoned professional, funny, and could make the show come alive.

"He's got a lot going on with Big Brother and his own show, but his friends think he'd be crazy to turn this down - he'd be an amazing asset to the show."

According to reports, Laura Whitmore, who has quit ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! NOW!,’ is also being lined up to co-present with Rylan when the show returns to our screens later this year.

"[Quitting] was the biggest sign yet that she's up for the job because she could never have done both at once," the source added,

"They'd be a brilliant duo and everyone thinks their on-screen chemistry would be great."

Rylan recently launched his very own chat show on Channel 5, but admitted he was unhappy with the first episode of ‘Up Late With Rylan’, which also divided viewers.

He claimed the show felt “rushed” when it launched earlier this month, as viewers saw him interview the likes of Alesha Dixon and Keith Lemon.

Taking to Twitter after the show, Rylan wrote: “Well that was eventful. Everything that could go wrong went wrong! But that’s tele.

“Tonight felt a bit rushed to me. We will change this for tomorrow. We’re just finding our feet Thanks for tuning in and lots of love.”
