'Britain's Got Talent' Semi-Finals: Anne And Ian Marshall Put On A Totally Gaga Performance

Literally.

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ hopefuls Ian and Anne Marshall more than lived up to their Golden Buzzer when they opened Monday night’s (23 May) semi-final.

The married duo won David Walliams’ approval during their audition last month, prompting the comedian to give them a fast pass to this year’s semi-finals, thanks to their *ahem* unique take on Beyoncé’s ‘Crazy In Love’.

And when they returned to the stage on Monday, David seemed just as taken with them, giving them the warmest of introductions, and telling viewers: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage, the winners of Britain’s Got Talent and the hottest couple in pop… Anne and Ian.”

The couple, who had been given a Bonnie and Clyde-esque make-over, delivered a jazzy version of Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’, complete with dancers, props and, of course, their already-infamous knee-clapping dance routine (which we can’t wait to try out next time we hit the dance floor).

David told his Golden Buzzer act he was “overcome” by their performance, adding: “There’s something so much fun about you, and that’s what this show does best.”

Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon agreed, though Simon Cowell was suitably unimpressed, telling the act: “[The audience] were only on their feet because they were trying to leave. I’m not being rude, guys, but are you three drunk or something? That was a nightmare.”

He then added that they were “trying to find something amazing to put in front of the royal family”, to which David shot back: “We’ve found them!”

So far, two acts have already landed a place in this year’s final, with 100 Voices Of Gospel and mother and son duo Mel & Jamie both bagging their spot in Sunday night’s live show.
