EgyptAir Bomb Threat Hoax Forces Flight To Make Emergency Landing

A bomb threat forced an EgyptAir flight from Cairo to Beijing to make emergency landing in Uzbekistan, Egyptian officials say.

All 118 passengers and 17 crew were safely evacuated from the plane, the company said.

The aircraft was examined by security services and no explosives were found.

An Egyptian aviation official told Reuters: "The plane is preparing to resume its journey. It was a hoax, thank God."
