'Celebrity Big Brother' 2016: Katie Waissel Will Be The Perfect Contestant, And Here's The Proof

'Memorable' is one way of describing her time on 'The X Factor'...

We’re calling this now - the new series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ is going to be all about Katie Waissel.

The former ‘X Factor’ contestant is one of the names that entered the famous house on Thursday (28 July), and we have a sneaking suspicion she is going to make for reality TV gold over the coming weeks.

Katie certainly had an eventful time on the ITV talent show, becoming a major talking point of the seventh series in 2010, and has never remained far from the headlines ever since.

Here’s why we think she’ll be the perfect ‘CBB’ resident...

1. She doesn’t take well to losing public votes

Remember when she just sat down in the middle of one ‘X Factor’ performance and muttering “Sod it”, after being voted in the bottom two once again? We can only imagine how she’ll take being nominated.

2. She can hold her own against the gobbiest of characters

It’s not everyone who can take on rent-a-gob Katie Hopkins, but she gave it a proper go during a ‘This Morning’ debate about tattoos a few years back. It can only stand her in good stead for living with a bunch of other difficult characters.

3. She has a LOT of self belief

”I want to be a legend. I want to create a legacy, and that’s what I will do.”

If you say so, Katie.

4. She once let Brian Freidman dress her like this:

No matter how ridiculous the outfits she’ll be made to wear in the ‘CBB’ tasks are, they will still have nothing on this *checks notes* ensemble.

5. She’s doesn’t take herself too seriously (sometimes)

She proved she had a sense of humour when she returned to perform at ‘The X Factor’ final in 2014 alongside some of the show’s more errrrm, eclectic acts from the past 10 years. Although we still can’t quite believe Simon Cowell managed to persuade her to share a stage with Wagner and Stevi Ritchie.

6. She is not afraid of making enemies

Katie is certainly not one to mince her words, and has launched various scathing attacks on former ‘X Factor’ mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini since her time on the show. Most recently, she branded her a “prick” and “not a very nice human”, adding: “If you ask me, she is fake as shit.”

Fellow housemates, you have been warned.

‘Celebrity Big Brother’ airs nightly on Channel 5.
