‘X Factor’ 2016: Robbie Williams 'Set For Judges’ Houses Role'

The 2016 series of ‘X Factor’ doesn’t have a start date yet, but filming is already well under way, and the latest reports reveal that Robbie Williams will be making an appearance, by assisting Sharon Osbourne during the judges’ houses stage.

Sharon and Robbie make a good team, as the former Take That star assisted Mrs O in 2013, when she won the competition with Sam Bailey.

A source explains to The Sun: “Getting Robbie back on the show is a really clever move on the part of Sharon and the producers.

“He has a huge fanbase and will attract loads of extra viewers purely from his name.

It’s that sort of star quality they need to compete with Strictly.

“Robbie and Sharon are old mates and used to be neighbours in Los Angeles so their chemistry is amazing.

“Every time Robbie appears on the ‘X Factor’ he proves great entertainment value.

“As they never managed to get him to be a full-time judge, this is the next best result.”

This year, Sharon is looking after the Overs category once again.

Simon Cowell has the Boys, Nicole will be looking after the Girls, leaving the groups for Louis Walsh to mentor.

According to previous reports, Simon and Louis have also picked their Judges Houses’ helpers, going for Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Shayne Ward respectively, but there’s no word yet on who’ll be helping out Nicole.
