The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A woman who was shopping in the store at the time of the incident told the Sutton Guardian: “I was helping my daughter try some shoes on when the lady came and said can you please tell your son ‘don’t watch’.

“When I saw my son watching I felt really bad, I didn’t know what to say.

“He said to me I will have nightmares tonight. I’m trying to do the best for him to forget.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 4:19pm to an incident at an address on St Nicholas Way, Sutton.

“We sent an ambulance crew, two single responders in cars and an incident response officer to the scene. Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance also attended.

“Sadly, despite extensive efforts of our crews, a man died at the scene.”
