Boy, 3, Dies After Collision With Tipper Vehicle

A three-year-old boy has died after a collision with a tipper vehicle.

The child was pronounced dead at the scene in Keats Road, Wolverhampton on Saturday afternoon.

West Midlands Police said they are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident, but confirmed a Transit Tipper was involved.

In a statement the force said: "Police were alerted by colleagues from the ambulance service to a collision between a Transit Tipper and a child just before 3:50pm on Keats Road, Wolverhampton yesterday afternoon.

"Sadly, a three-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Specialist officers from our family liaison unit are now supporting the family who have asked for privacy at this difficult time."
