A 24-year-old man has been arrested after a teenager died in a suspected hit-and-run car crash.
Officers were called to Priory Road, Dudley, on Thursday evening to reports of a collision between a Ford Fiesta and an Audi.
The Ford driver, Georgie Ann Evans, 18, from Himley, was confirmed dead at the scene while a passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries, West Midlands Police said.
The driver of the Audi abandoned the car at the scene, police added.
A tribute from Georgie's parents said: "Our beautiful, kind-hearted and spirited daughter has been taken away from us."
Police said a 24-year-old man handed himself into a police station on Friday night and is currently being questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Sergeant Alan Wood, from the West Midlands Police collision investigation unit, said: "Our inquiries are continuing and we are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.
"In particular, we would like to speak to the driver of a light-coloured van that was travelling along Priory Road shortly after the collision and turned left into Cedar Road.
"We have specialist officers who continue to liaise with Georgie's family and our thoughts remain with them at this sad time."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
